Using a traditional technique, the process begins by obtaining the threads from the leaves of the Toquilla, which are then dyed and interwoven to create beautiful and intricate pieces that are the ultimate expression of the regionās culture and identity. For decades, artisan communities in the region have preserved this art of weaving Toquilla palm, and it currently constitutes their main source of income.
